Loxcreen Canada Ltd. Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Multi-Year Plan

Statement of Commitment

Loxcreen Canada Ltd. is committed to creating an inclusive and accessible environment where all individuals are treated with dignity and respect, enabling them to maintain their independence. We believe in providing equal opportunities and fostering integration. We are dedicated to meeting the needs of people with disabilities in a timely manner by removing and preventing barriers to accessibility and complying with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA).

Accessible Emergency Information

Loxcreen is committed to ensuring that accessible emergency information is available to customers, clients, and employees upon request. We will also provide individualized emergency response information to employees with disabilities, as needed.

Training

Loxcreen is committed to training all employees, volunteers, and other staff members on Ontario’s accessibility laws and the Ontario Human Rights Code, specifically as it relates to individuals with disabilities.

Loxcreen will immediately take the following steps to ensure employees are provided with the training needed to meet Ontario’s accessibility laws:

  • Facilitate new training for all existing staff members.
  • Ensure new training is added into orientation for all new hires.

Training will be tailored to each person’s role and responsibilities and will include:

  • An overview of the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) and Loxcreen’s accessibility plan.
  • Effective communication techniques for interacting with individuals with various disabilities.
  • How to assist people with disabilities who use assistive devices or require the help of a service animal or support person.
  • Guidance on the use of accessibility features and devices available on-site, such as automatic doors, ramps, and assistive technologies.
  • Procedures to follow if a customer or employee is facing barriers to accessing Loxcreen’s goods and services.

Information and Communication

Loxcreen is dedicated to meeting the communication needs of individuals with disabilities. We will ensure that our website remains compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 Level A and will work to meet future updates to these standards to stay in line with accessibility regulations.

We will also take steps to ensure that any feedback processes are accessible to people with disabilities, providing information in alternate formats as requested. All publicly available information will be made accessible upon request.

Employment

Loxcreen is committed to providing accessible employment practices and will ensure that all employees and job candidates are aware of the accommodations available to them.

  • Loxcreen Canada Ltd. informs job applicants that accommodations are available through our career page, job postings, and by providing this information verbally or in writing when inviting candidates to an interview.
  • Upon making a job offer, Loxcreen Canada Ltd. notifies successful candidates about our accommodation policies, details on how to request accommodations, and encourages them to make such requests promptly to ensure appropriate accommodations are in place before their start date.
  • Loxcreen Canada Ltd. has trained recruiters and hiring managers to consult with applicants who request accommodations during the hiring process.
  • Loxcreen Canada Ltd. will communicate any updates or changes to our workplace accommodation policies.
  • Loxcreen Canada Ltd. will provide employees with information in accessible formats and/or provide communication supports upon request.

Design of Public Spaces

Loxcreen will comply with the Accessibility Standards for the Design of Public Spaces when constructing or making major modifications to any public spaces. In the event of a service disruption, we will promptly notify the public and provide information about alternative services or accommodations.

Feedback Process

Loxcreen values customer feedback on how we provide goods and services to people with disabilities. We encourage customers to provide feedback through email or verbally, and we will ensure our feedback process is accessible.

Alternate formats for providing feedback are available upon request. Customers can expect a response within 7 business days. Any complaints will be addressed through our regular complaint management procedures.
